If you have been following my travel blog, you know that The Viking and I are attracted by all kinds of water! This is one of my favorite pictures. I took it in February of this year in Denmark, when the weather was hesitating between winter and spring. Temperatures had been very low in January and the sea was frozen. When we were there, temperatures were rising again and the ice was melting, resulting in a half-frozen wave.

If I am repeating myself, please delete one of my comments. I thought I had already mentioned that I liked this photo, especially the decision to post in black and white. But I don’t see that comment anywhere!
I am sorry, that’s because I hadn’t approved it yet! Thank you for your reaction!
Beautiful shot. I see why this is one of your favorites. Not often you can catch a half-frozen wave. I enjoy all the contrasts happening throughout the photo. Great capture.
Thanks! I love the contrasts as well!
Stunning shot! And I love that it is black and white too.
Thanks!
